About the school
A heritage language school for children and adults across the UK. Bosnian, Serbian, Croatian, and English, taught by qualified native speakers, in person and online.
What students take away
We do not sell promises. We aim for measurable outcomes by the end of every tier.
Confident speakers
Children leave each tier able to hold age-appropriate conversations in the heritage language, with the right grammar and the right vocabulary for the moment.
Real writing skills
From a first letter to a grandparent to a 1000-word essay on identity, every student produces written work they are proud of and that we can show.
Cultural grounding
Students know the geography, the history, the music, and the literature. They can explain who they are and where they come from in two languages.
Academic credit
Advanced students leave ready for further study in Slavic languages at university or for community-level qualifications recognised by employers.
Why we exist
Across the UK, families speak Bosnian, Serbian, Croatian, and English. Children grow up between languages and cultures. We built this school to make sure the heritage language does not slip through the cracks, and to give parents a proper place to send their children for it.
How we teach
Small classes, qualified native-speaking teachers, and a curriculum modelled on the school structure back home. Lessons happen in person in London and online for families further away. Every lesson is paired with structured practice in a digital classroom so progress carries from one week to the next.
Who is in the room
Children from age four through to advanced learners, and adults learning from scratch or refreshing what they already know. We assess every new student in a friendly conversation, then place them where they will be challenged but not overwhelmed. We adapt content for children with special educational needs, in partnership with their parents.
For parents
Education · Consulting · SeminarsThe biggest factor in whether a child keeps the heritage language is what happens at home. We support parents directly, not only the children.
Parent education
How to keep the heritage language alive at home, even when only one parent speaks it. Practical guides, reading lists, and family routines that actually work.
1:1 consulting
Personal sessions for parents who want a plan for their child. We look at the child's age, exposure, and goals, and write a 12-month plan you can follow.
Weekly parent seminars
Short evening seminars on raising bilingual children, the science of language acquisition, and the cultural questions families face in the diaspora.
